As of January 5, 2005, Toshiba TEC Corporation has integrated and relocated to Higashi Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, its three previously separate offices in the Tokyo metropolitan area, namely Headquarters and the Home Electric Appliances Group (formerly in Kanda, Chiyoda-ku), the Retail Information Systems Company (formerly in Hama-cho, Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku) and the Document Processing & Telecommunication Systems Company (formerly in Shibakouen,Minato-ku).

The purpose of this integration is to speed up the decision-making process, improve communication and solidarity among divisions, promote efficiency and cut so as to achieve optimum corporate performance.
